biography:
Kyle Asche is a jazz guitarist who has become an integral and in-demand part of
the Chicago jazz scene since his arrival in 1998.  Since 1999, he has often been
heard with his own organ trio.  In 2005, they released their debut record "The
Hook Up" on Origin/OA2 records.

Asche is also often featured as a sideman working with a wide variety of singers
and instrumentalists.  As the result of two year tenure with world class vocalist
Kimberly Gordon, Asche's skills as a vocal accompanist have become nothing if
not refined.  He continues to work with a number of Chicago's top jazz vocalists
on a weekly basis.   As an instrumental sideman, Asche has been a regular
member of The John Brumbach - Ari Brown Quintet, The Taku Akiyama Quartet,
The Andrew Lautenbach Quartet, The Skinny, The Pete Benson Trio and many
others. Asche was featured on Tim McNamara's 2003 release "Earth Sign" on
the Blujazz label.

Asche's talent has been recognized by
Jazztimes: "Asche displays a beautiful
sound and a well-developed melodic sense" and
The Detroit Free Press:
"Swirling Melodic Guitar".  Asche was recently selected as one of ten semi-
finalists for the prestigious 2005 Thelonius Monk International Guitar
Competition.   His playing has been praised by jazz guitar masters Pat Martino,
Peter Bernstein, Bobby Broom, Anthony Wilson and Russell Malone.

At the age of 28, the list of musicians with whom he has shared the stage is
extensive and world class.  He has performed on stage well known artists Chris
Potter,  Bob James, Teri Lyne Carrington, James Genus and the late Oscar
Brown Jr.  to name a few.

Kyle can be heard at local jazz hot spots including The Green Mill,  Hothouse,
Andy’s Jazz Club, Pops for Champagne and Pete Miller’s Steakhouse.
